SOCAR's online parking platform Modu Parking said on the 30th that it has officially launched an "airport parking advance reservation" service for travelers using Gimpo Airport and Incheon Airport.
The airport parking advance reservation service lets users handle everything in the Modu Parking app at once, from checking availability at parking lots near the airport before departure to comparing prices and making payments. Users can compare information from a total of 27 partner parking lots—21 near Gimpo Airport and 6 near Incheon Airport—and secure a multi-day parking pass in advance for the desired period.
After selecting an airport in the Modu Parking app and entering departure and return times, users can check in real time whether the lot is indoor or outdoor, whether valet, pickup, and sending services are offered, and the fee conditions. A feature of the partner lots is that the same rates apply without price changes even during peak seasons such as holidays, making expense forecasting possible.
SOCAR expects airport parking demand to rise sharply ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday. It noted that due to terminal reassignments at major airlines, demand is expected to expand not only at official on-airport lots but also at nearby facilities.
Modu Parking has been piloting the airport parking advance reservation service since Aug. last year. Cumulative transaction volume over about five months surpassed 3,000, with reservations concentrated around holiday and long-weekend periods. The average parking duration was 3.4 days at Gimpo Airport and more than 5 days at Incheon Airport, indicating that long-term parking demand has taken hold steadily.
Gu Jeong-jun, head of SOCAR's Partner Hub Team, said, "We have advanced the service so travelers can resolve the repeatedly raised parking issues in the airport journey in advance," and added, "Based on usage patterns and demand data, we will continue to improve the travel experience for airport users."
