Samsung Electronics said on the 29th that it newly added "KBS News 24" and "SBS No.1 News Live" to Samsung TV Plus, its FAST (free ad-supported streaming) service.
This is the first time a terrestrial 24-hour news channel has been added to a FAST platform in Korea. Users can watch terrestrial news live without separate sign-ups or fees.
In addition to terrestrial news, Samsung TV Plus operates various news and business channels, including JTBC News, MBN News, Yonhap News TV, YTN, Maeil Business TV, and The Korea Economic Broadcasting.
Samsung TV Plus, which can be viewed without a separate set-top box, has reached 100 million monthly active users (MAU) across 30 countries worldwide and offers about 4,300 channels and more than 66,000 VOD titles for free.
