SK Broadband said it will release the Giga Wi-Fi 7 router on the 29th, featuring speeds twice as fast as the previous model and a design that fits anywhere in the home.
Giga Wi-Fi 7 offers wireless speeds of up to 2.88 Gbps (based on the 5 GHz band) compared with Wi-Fi 6 and supports wired speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps. With multi-link technology, it consolidates two frequencies (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz) at the same time to provide an uninterrupted wireless environment. It is compatible with the latest smartphones and laptops, and, when linked with SK Broadband's signal extender Wings, eliminates Wi-Fi dead zones throughout the home.
Giga Wi-Fi 7, which is also differentiated in design, adopts a flat antenna to satisfy both aesthetics and performance. While smaller, it improves signal efficiency through antenna optimization, and its foldable-and-expandable structure allows flexible installation to fit the space. It also boasts design excellence, having won the Good Design Award 2025 in Japan.
Giga Wi-Fi 7 will be offered to existing Wi-Fi bundle subscribers for an additional monthly charge of 1,100 won, allowing them to experience a premium wireless environment at the lowest price compared with competitors. SK Broadband also plans to launch a design cover option in collaboration with the eco-friendly brand Pleats Mama.
