The key figures behind the hit massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) "Aion 2," which NCSOFT released late last year, were promoted in large numbers to executive positions.
NCSOFT on the 29th promoted and appointed Executive Director Baek Seung-uk, who led the development of "Aion 2," to vice president. After being promoted to executive director in early 2024, Baek rose to vice president in two years.
Since its launch in November last year, "Aion 2" surpassed 100 billion won in cumulative sales by early this month, helping improve NCSOFT's performance.
Producer Kim Nam-joon, who oversaw the development of "Aion 2," and Business Head So In-seop were also promoted in this personnel reshuffle from senior vice president to executive vice president, respectively.
