Salesforce, Inc. said on the 29th that it has launched the next-generation "MuleSoft Agent Fabric," which consolidates scattered artificial intelligence (AI) agents and tools within corporations for unified management.
Salesforce, Inc. said, "As the adoption of AI agents is rapidly spreading across corporations, different agents are being operated individually depending on departments and cloud environments, and the phenomenon of 'Agent Sprawl,' in which they are created indiscriminately without central control, is intensifying."
Global market research firm IDC projected that the number of AI agents actually in operation worldwide will surge 40 times from last year to exceed 1 billion by 2029. Accordingly, the capability to manage numerous AI agents in an integrated manner is expected to emerge as a key factor that determines corporate competitiveness in the AI era.
In response to this trend, Salesforce, Inc. said it expanded the management scope of "MuleSoft Agent Fabric" and equipped it with a feature that automatically discovers and identifies AI agents in a Multi-Cloud environment. Based on technical collaboration with major partners such as AWS and Google Cloud, it helps corporations manage distributed AI agents by consistent standards and secure immediate visibility.
The newly added "Agent Scanner" feature supports automatically identifying and registering AI agents deployed on each platform without separate manual work. Through this, corporations can clearly identify the agents' primary roles, the AI models in use, and the range of accessible data.
Park Se-jin, head of Salesforce, Inc. Korea, said, "For a successful AX (AI transformation), the key is not just adopting a high-performance AI model but how organically consolidation and control can be achieved over fragmented AI asset," adding, "MuleSoft Agent Fabric serves as an 'AI control tower' that integrates agents scattered across a Multi-Cloud environment into a single ecosystem."
