LG Display's selling price per area in the fourth quarter of last year was $1,297 (about 1.8452 million won), down 5% from the previous quarter. This was a 49% increase from the same period a year earlier.
LG Display stated accordingly on the 28th during its conference call for fourth-quarter and annual 2025 earnings that "shipments of some models within the small and midsize organic light-emitting diode (OLED) lineup were concentrated in the third quarter." The company, however, noted that "compared with the same period a year earlier, results improved, and the advancement of our OLED-centered business structure continues," adding, "we expect to maintain a high level going forward."
LG Display's total shipment area in the fourth quarter of last year came to 4 million square meters despite the seasonal peak, a slight increase from the previous quarter. The company said, "TV, laptop and PC panels increased from the previous quarter, but monitor and tablet panel shipments decreased from the previous quarter."
The company said, "Panel shipments by product are determined not by traditional seasonality but by downstream market conditions and customers' inventory levels," adding, "we are currently running our portfolio with a focus on profitability, so we are continuously reducing shipments of low-profit models in the midsize liquid crystal display (LCD) lineup."
LG Display announced the same day that last year's annual revenue totaled 25.8101 trillion won, down 3% from a year earlier. Although revenue edged down, annual operating profit reached 517 billion won, returning to the black. Last year's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) came in at 4.8711 trillion won (19% margin). Fourth-quarter revenue last year was 7.2008 trillion won, down 8% from a year earlier. Operating profit during the period was 168.5 billion won, marking a profit for the second straight quarter.
