SOCAR is partnering with Nol Universe Co on channeling to expand touchpoints with car-sharing users.

SOCAR said on the 28th that it will launch SOCAR reservation services in the NOL app operated by Nol Universe Co. With this partnership, NOL users can access SOCAR services directly through the "Transportation" menu on the app's main screen.

In the NOL app, users can reserve not only the "round trip" service, which lends and returns vehicles at SOCAR Zones, but also the "Bureum" service, which delivers a vehicle to a desired location. Given the NOL platform's strong travel and leisure user base, the service naturally connects travel demand.

SOCAR is widening user touchpoints through a "channeling" strategy that extends its own platform operation experience to external platforms. After beginning its first channeling with Naver in June 2024, it secured a second external channel through this collaboration with Nol Universe Co. Based on the inflow of new users via external platforms, SOCAR plans to speed up channel diversification.

To mark the partnership, the two companies will run a promotion through Feb. 28. Users who reserve SOCAR via the NOL app will receive a 50% discount on the lending fee and an additional 10,000 won discount. Eligible vehicle types are mini, compact, and small sport utility vehicles (SUVs). Five percent of the payment amount will be credited as NOL points, which will be paid in a lump sum after the promotion ends and can be used to pay for NOL services such as lodging and leisure.

Lee U-cheol, head of SOCAR's Car-sharing Product Division, said, "We partnered with NOL so people can use SOCAR more easily across various lifestyle touchpoints such as travel and leisure," and added, "We will continue to expand channels so that SOCAR is fast and convenient to access whenever people need to move."
