Samsung Electronics, a Worldwide Partner of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), on the 27th unveiled the specially made Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition for athletes competing at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics and Paralympics. Samsung Electronics will provide the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition to all athletes—about 3,800 from roughly 90 countries—participating in the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
Samsung Electronics, in collaboration with the IOC, will operate the Victory Selfie program for the first time at a Winter Olympics. Victory Selfie is a program first introduced at the 2024 Paris Olympics in which athletes capture the glory of winning a medal by taking a selfie directly on the podium.
In addition, Samsung Electronics will newly unveil Victory Profile, a series of photos shot with the Galaxy S25 Ultra that capture athletes' passion and individuality. Victory Profile consists of profile photos of athletes taken by professional photographers using the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Samsung Electronics worked with national Olympic committees (NOC) from nine countries—Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden—and about 490 athletes who consented will take part in Victory Profile.
This Olympic edition features a signature design commemorating participation in the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. First, the product's back incorporates a blue color to embody the Olympics' spirit of unity and sportsmanship, as well as the identity of Samsung Electronics. The product's frame uses a gold metal tone to symbolically express athletes' pursuit of excellence and the moment they step onto the podium. The blue circular magnet attached to the Transparent Magnetic Case provided with the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition is designed with golden laurel leaves, a motif of victory, wrapped around it. The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition's wallpaper applies a specially designed 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics theme. The theme, which visualizes the curved patterns made by skate blades on ice, signifies the Olympic spirit and the athletes' passion.
Athletes participating in the Games can communicate without language barriers using the on-device AI Interpret feature of the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition powered by Galaxy AI. Through the Now Brief feature, they can check health data such as event operations information and sleep information. In addition, with the Dual Recording feature, which allows shooting with the front and rear cameras simultaneously, they can capture special photos and videos.
Samsung Electronics is also providing a variety of apps and services, in collaboration with several Olympic partners, that athletes can use conveniently. It will support the teams with a 100GB eSIM capable of 5G data use.
In addition, the Olympic edition devices come preloaded with a variety of Olympic apps, including Galaxy Athlete Card, which lets athletes register their own profile card on the device and exchange profile cards with other athletes via NFC; Samsung Wallet equipped with In-App Pass to enjoy Coca-Cola beverage vending machines installed in the Athletes' Village for free; and Athlete365, which links with the Now Brief feature to deliver real-time competition-related news and notices to athletes.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition will be distributed at six Olympic Villages starting Jan. 30. Samsung Electronics plans to operate the Samsung Open Station at the Olympic Villages to provide on-site professional customer service—such as device activation and data transfer—so athletes can use the devices immediately.
Samsung Electronics, in collaboration with the IOC, will operate Victory Selfie at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, expanding it beyond individual events to team events. The energy of winter sports and the thrill of victory from all Olympic competitions will be vividly captured through Victory Selfie and shared with fans around the world.
