Samsung Electronics said on the 27th it will release the 2026 high-efficiency heat pump heating and cooling system "EHS All-in-One," which uses air and water at the same time to provide heating, cooling, and hot water.
EHS is a heat pump-based solution that supplies heating and hot water to residential and commercial facilities, offering higher energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions than boilers that use fossil fuels.
The new product can handle air-based heating and cooling, floor heating, and domestic hot water with a single outdoor unit. Through a "heat recovery" function that reuses waste heat generated during cooling, it can increase energy efficiency by up to more than twofold. It also enhances eco-friendliness by applying R32 refrigerant, whose global warming potential (GWP) is about 68% lower than conventional refrigerants.
The new product reduced the number of propeller fans in the outdoor unit from two to one, achieving a compact design 850 mm tall that lowers the height by about 40%. It is designed to maintain stable performance even in severe cold, enabling heating at minus 25 degrees and supplying hot water up to 65 degrees.
User convenience was also enhanced. Using "AI Saving Mode," users can analyze usage patterns and the environment to expect up to 17% energy savings. It can also be connected to the indoor "Climate Hub" and "Hydro Unit," and the 7-inch display installed in the indoor unit lets users check heating and hot water status at a glance and control them easily.
Samsung Electronics plans to introduce the new EHS in the domestic market within the year.
