Neptune will integrate its business structure and move to improve management efficiency through a merger with its wholly owned subsidiary Tripla.
Neptune disclosed on the 27th that its board completed a resolution on the merger with Tripla. The merger date is Apr. 1, 2026.
Neptune plans to integrate businesses that had been dispersed across the two companies through this merger, boost operating efficiency, and seek to enhance corporate value and shareholder value.
Tripla is a mobile game developer that Neptune acquired in Sept. 2021 to strengthen its global capabilities in casual game services, and it has focused on developing hybrid casual games based on the tycoon (management simulation) genre.
Cat Snack Bar, which launched globally in early 2023, surpassed 10 million cumulative downloads in about three months after release and has recorded 45 million cumulative downloads and 40 billion won in cumulative revenue to date. Starting with that title, the Cat series has become Tripla's flagship lineup.
Tripla posted 26.8 billion won in revenue and 3 billion won in operating profit in 2023, and, with the continued success of the Cat series and diversification of its lineup, achieved 52.1 billion won in revenue and 6.37 billion won in operating profit in 2025.
Heo San, head of Ripla, said, "While continuing to develop a variety of games, including the Cat series, we also plan to pursue a publishing business by discovering developers at home and abroad with growth potential," and added, "As a member of Neptune, we will contribute to enhancing corporate value."
After the merger, all Tripla employees will be organized into a department within Neptune dedicated to hybrid casual games and will participate in development and publishing tasks.
