Hyundai AutoEver said on the 26th that its vehicle software (SW) verification tool, "Mobilgene X-Studio," has obtained certification for the international standard for automotive functional safety (ISO 26262).
ISO 26262 is an international standard that verifies the safety of automotive electrical and electronic systems.
Mobilgene X-Studio, which Hyundai AutoEver independently developed in 2023, is a program that automates the safety verification of vehicle SW. Vehicle SW controls the entire automotive system, including the powertrain (power) and infotainment, so rigorous testing is required to ensure safety.
Mobilgene X-Studio automates verification across diverse environments, cutting work time by 50% compared with the conventional manual method, the company said. It can perform verification in preset environments even when no operator is present, such as after work or on weekends.
Hyundai AutoEver is currently applying Mobilgene X-Studio to various vehicle SW verifications and plans to use it in fields beyond automobiles, including aerospace, defense, and robotics.
Kwon Hae-young, executive director in charge of SDV at Hyundai AutoEver, said, "With this certification, we have secured international credibility for our verification automation tool," and added, "We will provide competitive services to raise customer satisfaction."
