FADU said on the 22nd that it won an order worth 47 billion won for SSD finished goods from Taiwan's Macnica Galaxy. The order revises the 21.5 billion won disclosed on Nov. 5, 2024, reflecting increased supply volume and higher solid-state drive (SSD) prices.
This is the largest volume since the company's founding for a single contract and exceeds the full-year 2024 revenue of 43.5 billion won.
Under the disclosure, 50% of the contract amount will be paid in March, and the remainder will all be reflected in revenue in the second half of this year.
On the 13th, it also said it signed a contract to supply corporations SSD (eSSD) controllers worth 20.3 billion won to an overseas NAND flash memory maker. This, too, is the largest single controller supply contract since the company's founding.
Combined, the two new-year orders total 67.3 billion won, nearly matching the cumulative revenue of 68.5 billion won through the third quarter last year.
FADU CEO Lee Ji-hyo said, "Based on technology recognized in the U.S. big tech market, we are focusing on developing next-generation products such as sixth- and seventh-generation models to secure global technology leadership," and added, "Building on this, we will aggressively target not only the United States but markets worldwide and grow into an export-led, comprehensive fabless corporations."
