Com2uS said on the 22nd it will step up its push into the global market this year by unveiling the major new titles "Tougen Anki Crimson Inferno" and the tentatively titled "Project ES." The strategy is to diversify its game portfolio and strengthen global business competitiveness to secure growth momentum.
Set for release this year, "Tougen Anki Crimson Inferno" is a turn-based role-playing game (RPG) in development based on the popular TV animation "Tougen Anki." Since airing in Jul., the TV animation ranked fifth in Netflix's global non-English TV series category, and the manga of the same name surpassed 5 million copies in circulation.
The company said the game focuses on maximizing its unique fun—such as crisp action and satisfying combat—while leveraging the strengths of the original intellectual property (IP). Com2uS said, "We plan to roll out service across the globe, focusing first on the Japanese market."
Another new title in the works, "Project ES," is a blockbuster-scale massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) being developed on Unreal Engine 5. Developer AVerTon, led by CEO Kim Dae-hwon, is producing the game, and Com2uS is handling publishing (distribution). It will feature a PC-centered cross-platform approach, a vast universe inspired by Greek mythology, and console-level art quality.
In addition, Com2uS plans to sequentially unveil several other titles now in preparation, including a new game using SHIFT UP's popular IP "Destiny Child," the vertical collection adventure RPG "Pep Heroes: Treasure Picker Squad," which emphasizes the fun of manual control, and the collection strategy RPG "Project Lynn" (working title) with a retro vibe.
A Com2uS official said, "Along with the new titles, we will further solidify services for long-running genre-leading hits such as 'Summoners War' and our baseball game lineup, and accelerate global expansion in 2026."
