Piolink said on the 21st that it received a commendation from the Jeollanam-do governor for building the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters' integrated fire information and communications network with its own network products and contributing to stable infrastructure operations using only domestically made equipment.
This project is the first among fire headquarters nationwide to build the entire segment, from backbone switches to L2 and L3 switches, with domestically made network equipment. Piolink fully converted an existing infrastructure centered on foreign-made equipment to its own solutions, proving that large-scale public infrastructure can be operated stably with only domestically made network equipment.
In particular, Piolink's T-Front backbone and security switches won high marks because fault response, data analysis, and security management can all be centrally operated in T-Controller, a single management system. Through this, the operational stability and efficiency of wired and wireless information and communications networks—core to disaster response such as 119 call intake and the emergency rescue system—have been further strengthened.
Park Ho-jin, Director General, who received this commendation, was recognized for improving trust in fire services by being in charge of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters' National Information and Communications Network and maintenance, and by delivering optimized network design and stable operations management based on domestically made equipment.
