SK Telecom said on the 19th that it will run an aggressive point giveaway promotion to mark the 100th day since the launch of its SIM-only digital communications service "air." "Air" has spread quickly among the digital-native generation, surpassing 100,000 app members within 100 days of launch thanks to its reasonable rate structure, point benefits, and app-based user experience.
Air offers a simple plan made up of six core 5G data tiers and a point-earning system through missions. This allows users to pay their bills and enjoy benefits to purchase more than 1,000 popular products.
As part of the 100-day event, new subscribers can get the 5G 100GB plan for an effective price of 100 won in the first month, while existing customers can earn double points by completing missions in the Air app. The Air app now has more than 100,000 members, and cumulative points have exceeded 1 billion points. Customers spend an average of more than 20,000 won in points per month, which are used to buy everyday gift cards.
Going forward, SK Telecom plans to further enhance the customer experience within the first quarter by overhauling the app's UI/UX and introducing a reward-based advertising model.
