LG Electronics said on the 18th it will launch the "LG PuriCare Bath Air System," which can manage bathroom air quality.
The first bathroom air-care product from LG Electronics will be available for purchase starting on the 19th. The company said, "Based on differentiated technologies proven through premium air conditioners and air purifiers, we are introducing an innovative all-in-one system that can manage temperature, humidity, and hygiene for bathroom air quality at once."
The new product features temperature and humidity detection with automatic operation, blocking of external odors, and easy hygiene management. LG Electronics said it developed the product by referring to customer feedback from existing products, including ▲ inconvenience in controlling bathroom temperature and humidity ▲ inflow of external dust or odors ▲ difficulty in hygiene management.
The LG PuriCare Bath Air System detects temperature and humidity in real time and automatically switches heating, blowing, and ventilation to manage bathroom conditions. In "space care" mode, it preheats the bathroom with warm air when it is cold and relieves stuffiness with blowing and ventilation when humidity is high. When the bathroom temperature and humidity reach 22 degrees and 50%, respectively, it automatically switches to standby.
It also comes with a "dual exhaust" feature that adds another exhaust fan to the main unit. It enables faster air ventilation and serves as a backflow prevention device that blocks harmful air such as external dust or odors when the product is turned off. It also includes functions such as ▲ "body care" mode, which dries water from hair and body after a shower with warm or cool air ▲ "hygiene care," based on UVnano (UV nano) technology used in various premium appliances such as air conditioners, water purifiers, and refrigerators.
The LG PuriCare Bath Air System will be released in a "premium" model and a "premium dual" model that includes an additional exhaust fan to use the dual exhaust function. Even if there is an existing product in use, it can be installed in about an hour without additional construction other than perforation. Both one-time purchase and subscription are available. For the premium model, a one-time purchase is 990,000 won (premium dual 1.19 million won), and if you choose a subscription, it is 20,400 won per month (based on six years).
