Kim Beom-su, head of the Future Initiative Center at Kakao, paid an unannounced visit on the 15th to the 2026 new-hire training site underway at the Kakao AI Campus in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. Kim engaged in impromptu Q&A with the new crew members and communicated in a relaxed atmosphere, responding to requests for photos.
Kim said about how to work in the AI era, "Automate any task repeated more than twice with AI, and try building emerging ideas yourself at least once a week," emphasizing execution and bold attempts. He also said, "The AI era is both a crisis and an opportunity," adding that the ability to define problems precisely and to ask questions is important.
After the Q&A, Kim continued to speak individually with the new crew members and put them further at ease by accommodating all requests for selfies. One crew member said, "I felt an urgent push after the advice that we can build tech services through AI," vowing steady challenges ahead. After completing onboarding, the new crew members are expected to be assigned to their roles as early as next month.
