Sales in Japan have grown for Zeta, an AI content platform operated by Scatter Lab, a generative artificial intelligence (AI) startup.
According to Scatter Lab on the 13th, Zeta surpassed monthly sales of 1.1 billion won in Japan for the first time in Dec. last year. Early this year, its daily sales reached about 75 million won.
Scatter Lab projected annual sales in Japan this year will exceed 20 billion won.
Zeta is an AI content platform where users create stories in real time with AI characters, and it entered the Japanese market in May 2024.
According to App Ape, a mobile app market analysis service, Zeta ranked No. 1 by user numbers among entertainment AI apps in Japan as of last month. It also ranked No. 1 on monthly, weekly, and daily metrics, and as of Dec. 31 last year, daily active users (DAU) exceeded 200,000.
Scatter Lab CEO Kim Jong-yoon said, "Zeta is a platform that concentrates Scatter Lab's AI technology and product planning capabilities, and it is growing rapidly in the Japanese market, as shown by real sales and user metrics surpassing those of the Korea service," adding, "We will expand into global markets and grow into a global 100 million-user AI fiction platform."
