Red Hat said on the 7th that it will expand its collaboration with Nvidia to accelerate the transition to next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.
The two companies plan to collaborate with the goal of optimizing for enterprise AI and rack-scale AI environments. Red Hat plans to focus on boosting productivity through Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Nvidia for the Nvidia Rubin platform. Equipped with the Nvidia Vera central processing unit (CPU) and the cutting-edge Nvidia Rubin graphics processing unit (GPU), the Nvidia Rubin platform is designed to enhance agentic AI and advanced inference performance.
Matt Hicks, Red Hat chief executive officer (CEO), said, "Nvidia's architectural innovation has made AI an essential technology and proved that the computing stack will define the future of the industry," and added, "To respond to this shift, Red Hat and Nvidia support the latest Nvidia architecture across Red Hat's Hybrid Cloud and AI portfolio."
