Google was found to be the productivity application (app) most used by Koreans.
Wiseapp Retail analyzed the monthly active users (MAU) of major productivity apps among Korean smartphone users (Android + iOS) and said that as of November last year, Google ranked No. 1 with 46.4 million users. Productivity apps are mobile apps that help individuals or organizations perform work, study, and everyday activities more efficiently.
Next, Naver (43.75 million) and Google Chrome (42.78 million) took second and third. Gmail (20.97 million), Google Drive (9.52 million), Google Photos (7.69 million), Hancom Office Viewer (7.58 million), Daum (5.49 million), Naver MyBox (4.46 million), and Polaris Office (4.19 million) followed.
By productivity app category, web browser apps such as Google and Naver were used by 98% of domestic smartphone users. Next were email apps at 43.6%, file storage apps at 37.9%, work tool apps at 37.4%, memo and calendar apps at 12.7%, and video meeting apps at 9.3%.
