Devsisters said on the 7th that it will hold Cookie Run: Kingdom Art Collab Project Special Exhibition - Legacy of the Great Kingdom at Ara Art Center in Insa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 23rd.
The special exhibition expands the main narrative of the mobile role-playing game (RPG) Cookie Run: Kingdom beyond the game, bringing together the art collaboration project that Devsisters has pursued over the past two years. The exhibition is supported by the Korea Heritage Service and the Korea Craft & Design Foundation.
Since 2024, Devsisters has collaborated with 10 masters of intangible heritage and artists to reinterpret the narratives of Beast Cookie and Ancient Cookie—key characters in Cookie Run: Kingdom—into traditional craft works. This exhibition will present the 10 traditional craft pieces produced so far as an interactive show combined with media art.
The exhibition will take place across about 860 pyeong of space from the first floor above ground to the fourth basement level at Ara Art Center in Insa-dong. By integrating media art into traditional craft works that depict game characters, it presents the fusion of the Cookie Run IP and traditional culture in various ways.
For the exhibition, Devsisters collaborated with the media artist group Nerdy Artist Union. The show is organized around five core values—will, history, knowledge, happiness and solidarity—and is designed so visitors can follow the works and examine the messages of each value.
Tickets will be available for reservation on Naver and NOL Ticket starting on the 12th of this month. Admission is 23,000 won for adults, with discounts for teenagers and children. Infants under 36 months are free. Before that, from the 9th to the 11th, a super early-bird sale offering discounted special tickets will be held exclusively on Naver.
Ticket holders will receive goods made by masters, traditional craft collaboration products and in-game items through a lucky draw after entry. The special exhibition runs through Apr. 12.
