Samsung Display on the 5th (local time) unveiled additional concept products for next-generation AI devices equipped with OLED at a CES 2026 media event held at the Encore at Wynn in Las Vegas.
Samsung Display said the "AI OLED pendant" is a future AI device that will replace smartphones. Made with a 1.4-inch circular OLED, the product's necklace form makes it easy to carry and use by voice, and its display enables intuitive operation and information checks, boosting the usefulness of an AI agent.
A Samsung Display official said, "Because OLED is thinner and lighter than LCD, it is the optimal display solution for securing battery space in small AI devices."
An "AI OLED remote," a remote-control concept with a 1.3-inch circular OLED that can integrate and control various AI devices at home, was also on display. Without having to search for separate remotes for each device, it illustrated a daily life where all devices can be controlled with the AI OLED remote always placed in the living room.
In addition, Samsung Display showcased idea products such as an "AI mirror (13.4-inch circular OLED)," which includes a front-facing camera to check skin condition and heat and receive AI beauty and health management advice; an "AI earphone case (1.3-inch circular OLED)" concept that can play music and adjust settings without taking out a separate smart device; and an "AI headset (1.5-inch circular OLED)."
Samsung Display also unveiled a next-generation foldable panel at this exhibition. Visitors could compare how letters suspended between the 2024 foldable panel and the next-generation foldable panel appeared differently; the next-generation panel showed a significant reduction in image quality degradation caused by light reflections or shadows at the crease compared with the reference product. According to Samsung Display, the crease depth of the next-generation foldable panel is about 20% shallower than the '25 model.
As the crease of a foldable panel becomes shallower, visibility improves and visual satisfaction increases, and the sensation of a finger catching or slipping during touch input is reduced. It delivers a premium user experience befitting a high-end product.
Samsung Display said it was able to improve the crease of the next-generation foldable panel through ongoing R&D innovations, including optimizing the stacked structure.
