Canon Korea said on the 6th it unveiled the next-generation digital inkjet press "varioPRINT iX1700," which combines high-speed output with high-quality printing.
The varioPRINT iX1700 is equipped with a 2400×1200 dpi high-resolution printhead and can output 170 A4 pages per minute (ipm).
A Canon Korea official said, "It is a commercial press that applies an ink circulation system to suppress increases in viscosity inside the nozzles and deliver stable print quality through uniform ink ejection," and noted, "Maintenance systems such as an automatic printhead cleaning function keep it in optimal condition even during extended operation."
The official added, "We adopted a printing process that combines water-based latex ink and primer," and said, "By performing surface pretreatment with a primer before printing and then ejecting latex ink with excellent color reproduction, it also handles rough-textured paper and high-quality catalog paper."
For user convenience, the varioPRINT iX1700 features a transparent cover to intuitively check the status of the printing modules and a front LED indicator to verify whether each module is operating.
Park Jeong-u, head of Canon Korea, said, "The varioPRINT iX1700 is a printing solution that has speed, quality, and maintenance."
