WEBZEN said on Jan. 2 that it will release the new open-world action RPG "Dragon Sword" on Jan. 21, 2026.
"Dragon Sword" is an open-world action RPG developed by the domestic game studio HOUND13 and published by WEBZEN. Users can experience gameplay centered on action combat in an open-world setting.
The game will launch as a cross-platform service supporting both mobile and PC. The mobile version will be available through major app markets, and on PC it can be played through WEBZEN's dedicated game client.
Along with the release date announcement, WEBZEN unveiled the second PV video that shows the main story and worldbuilding. The video centers on a summary of the game's core story, battle scenes, and story-directed cutscenes.
After the CBT held in May 2025, "Dragon Sword" has undergone overall gameplay refinements reflecting user feedback up to launch. Optimization for gameplay stability and improvements to graphics quality were made, and some adjustments were also applied to story direction and character expression. Full dubbing by a domestic voice cast has been applied to the main story.
WEBZEN will run pre-registration until the official launch, and participants will receive in-game benefits. Various events are also being held.
