Hyun Shin-Gyoon, president of LG CNS, said in a New Year's address on the 2nd that "2026 will continue to be a difficult situation where opportunity and uncertainty coexist." He noted, "It is time to solidify our position as a leading player in Korea by boosting artificial intelligence transformation (AX) and core IT competitiveness, and to begin in earnest our leap forward as a global company."
This year, Hyun cited three key initiatives: global AX and robot transformation (RX), strengthening execution capabilities, and expanding presence in global markets.
He said, "In a market environment shifting beyond agentic artificial intelligence (AI) to physical AI, it is important to preemptively secure 'winning technology' that will lead future competition," adding, "By internalizing core foundational technologies in a timely manner and responding quickly to customer needs based on technical experience and industry expertise, LG CNS must establish itself as an irreplaceable global AX and RX partner."
He went on to stress the need to strengthen execution capabilities. Hyun said, "As for execution capabilities, as big tech and competitors rapidly evolve into AI-native, customers' quality expectations are rising, making the advancement of the execution model essential," adding, "We must upgrade our global execution framework and fundamentally innovate the way we work around 'AIND' (AI-native development), an AI development approach."
Regarding global markets, he said, "From a mid- to long-term perspective, it is important to build a stable foundation for growth and establish a sustainable business model," adding, "Based on technologies and services validated by LG CNS, we will secure meaningful global success stories and gradually expand them to grow into corporations with global competitiveness."
