LG Electronics said on the 1st it will unveil its 2026 "LG Gram" lineup. The new models apply materials used in the aviation and space industries to improve durability while maintaining the portability of an ultralight laptop. The products will be introduced for the first time at CES 2026, which opens in the United States on the 6th local time.
The "LG Gram Pro AI 2026 (model: 16Z90U/16Z95U)" unveiled this time uses a new magnesium-aluminum alloy–based material called "Aerominum." The company said the material combines light weight and durability. The 16‑inch Gram Pro, which uses LG Electronics' own lightweight design method, weighs about 1,199 g, and its scratch resistance has improved by more than 35% from previous models. The exterior features a metal-texture finish.
AI features are also enhanced. The 2026 LG Gram includes on-device artificial intelligence (AI) based on the large language model (LLM) "EXAONE (LG AI Research) 3.5," developed by LG AI Research. It performs document summarization, search, and translation without a network connection. It also includes "My Archive," which builds PC internal materials into databases, prioritizes searches and summaries of designated folders, and answers by reflecting the context of questions, and "Time Travel," which finds work histories or restores deleted data.
It is also configured to work with Microsoft's "Copilot+ PC" features, supporting functions such as real-time translated captions and AI image generation.
Connectivity and security features are expanded. The mobile device integration feature "Gram Link" has widened its connection range to include webOS devices in addition to iOS and Android. As a result, users can wirelessly share files, send photos, and extend screens with TVs, smart monitors, and projectors, the company said. On security, a new "Secure Lock" feature lets users remotely lock a device, disable the system, and reset the operating system in cases of loss or theft.
The 2026 Gram lineup is split between models with Intel Core Ultra processors (16Z90U series) and models with AMD Ryzen AI 400 series processors (16Z95U), allowing users to choose based on their needs. LG Electronics said the 77Wh battery delivers up to 27 hours of video playback on its own test, and more than 9 hours of use with a 30‑minute charge. It added the models passed seven items of the U.S. Department of Defense reliability test (MIL-STD).
In Korea, sales will begin sequentially starting on the 6th on LGE.com. The total lineup of seven includes LG Gram Pro AI (17‑ and 16‑inch), LG Gram Pro 360 AI (16‑inch), LG Gram AI (15‑ and 14‑inch), and LG Grambook AI (16‑ and 15‑inch). Lee Chung-hwan, head of the display business unit at LG Electronics (executive vice president), said, "With new materials and advanced AI features, this will set a new standard for AI PCs."
