Software corporations Okestro said on the 31st that it signed a contract to supply a "sovereign AI cloud solution" with 1,350 physical nodes to an artificial intelligence (AI) data center in Japan.
Okestro's "sovereign AI cloud solution" implements AI workload optimization, which is essential for AI data centers. It is also designed so customers can directly control data and AI operations, expense, and failure response systems.
Through this PROTEC, Okestro will build an AI infrastructure environment that can stably operate large-scale LLM services by using container resources created based on GPU virtualization (GPUaaS) at a local AI data center in Japan. Based on this export, the company plans to gradually expand its business scope into a "sovereign AI cloud data center" that combines software and hardware.
Kim Beom-jae, head of Okestro, said, "We will set a new standard for the global AI infrastructure market by introducing a sovereign AI cloud data center architecture that is differentiated from existing public cloud–centric operations."
