Artificial intelligence (AI) model lightweighting and optimization corporations Nota AI said on the 30th that it signed a deal to supply its AI model optimization platform technology for Samsung Electronics' next-generation mobile application processor (AP), "Exynos 2600."
With this collaboration, Nota AI will take part in developing the next-generation version of Samsung Electronics' AI model optimization toolchain, "Exynos AI Studio." A Nota AI official said, "We plan to support running large Generative AI models on Exynos 2600 while maintaining precision, and to dramatically improve the process for developers to implement the latest AI models through optimization pipeline automation."
This is expected to allow users to enjoy a faster and more powerful on-device (embedded) Generative AI experience that runs on the device itself without a separate cloud connection.
Nota AI has the NetsPresso platform, which can reduce model size by up to more than 90% while maintaining accuracy, enabling efficient optimization and deployment of AI models across a variety of hardware environments.
Chae Myung-soo, chief executive of Nota AI, said, "This collaboration, continuing from Exynos 2400, proves that Nota AI's technology is creating tangible value in combination with Samsung hardware," adding, "Through continued collaboration with global partners and technology commercialization, we will establish ourselves as the essential technology leading the era of On-device AI."
