POSCO DX said on the 30th it is offering the corporations-use Generative AI service platform P-GPT (Private-GPT) 2.1.
P-GPT is a platform designed to apply Generative AI to the core business systems used by corporations, based on a large language model (LLM) trained on industry-specific data and terminology. It handles work-related queries through a conversational chat service and provides highly accurate answers by using internal and external corporate data. In particular, by applying a RAG architecture and operating the AI only within in-house infrastructure, it minimized concerns about external data leaks.
POSCO Group introduced P-GPT 1.0, which integrates in-house knowledge information, in Sep. 2023, and about 20,000 employees at 37 group companies are currently using it. It is being used for a variety of office tasks, including report writing, data analysis, in-house knowledge search, meeting minutes summarization, and multilingual translation, and more than 3,500 work AI agents that employees developed and use themselves are in operation.
The recently unveiled P-GPT 2.1 by POSCO DX is characterized by fully launching a multi-LLM strategy. In addition to the existing ChatGPT, it added Gemini and Claude, laying the foundation for implementing agentic AI services tailored to user needs. Users can automate repetitive tasks and boost productivity through a custom AI agent creation feature.
P-GPT 2.1 also strengthened features focused on office work efficiency. It supports integration with MS Teams schedules and mail and OneDrive, and it introduced a query intent analysis agent architecture and an automatic prompt improvement feature. It can automatically generate document drafts in standard formats, cutting work time by about half, and when a CSV or Excel file is uploaded, it automatically performs data analysis and chart generation. Pricing is based on the number of tokens used, reducing the burden of separate setup.
POSCO DX plans to advance its multilingual translation function in the first half of 2026 to expand AI use to overseas subsidiaries, and in the second half to release P-GPT 3.0 with strengthened manufacturing-specialized sLLM and graph DB-based search functions. Based on this, the company plans to expand service offerings not only to group companies but also to external corporations and public institutions.
