Beam Mobility said on the 29th that it will work with the Kyonggi University College of Social Sciences student council to create a safe shared mobility environment on campus.
Beam Mobility recognized the need to spread a culture of safe use on university campuses where shared personal mobility is widely used, and pursued collaboration with student self-governing bodies that communicate most closely with students. Working with the Kyonggi University College of Social Sciences student council, the company provided helmets so students can more easily use safety gear.
The purpose of this collaboration is to increase accessibility to wearing helmets so that college students can naturally practice safety rules in their daily travel. Beam Mobility noted that the effort is meaningful in that it has built an on-site collaboration model to ensure the culture of wearing helmets takes root voluntarily in campus life, beyond a mere recommendation.
A Beam Mobility official said, "Because university campuses are spaces where shared personal mobility is concentrated, we determined it is important to proactively build a culture of safe use," adding, "This collaboration with the Kyonggi University student council is a case of corporations and students creating a safety culture together, and we will continue to expand cooperation with various educational institutions and local communities."
