KT M Mobile said on the 29th that it launched mobi, an eSIM data roaming service, and began expanding its global business.
mobi is a service that lets users conveniently use data overseas through eSIM without swapping a SIM card, enabling immediate data use in about 70 countries, including major Southeast Asian nations such as Japan, China and Vietnam, as well as the United States and Europe. Anyone with a device that supports eSIM can use it regardless of their carrier, and they can keep their existing SIM to continue using calls and text services with their domestic number.
In particular, mobi offers a pre-departure activation check so customers can confirm in Korea whether the eSIM works properly in advance. This is a major differentiator that improves on the limitations of existing eSIM services. The feature is available in countries excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Europe, and those regions will be supported sequentially starting next year.
KT M Mobile supports prompt and stable consultations overseas through a customer center that operates 365 days a year, and also offers a service that makes it easy to purchase and activate eSIM data roaming products. Customers who purchase can top up data in real time, and a gifting feature for family or acquaintances is also provided.
The mobi app can be installed from the official website, Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and users can also receive an eSIM activation code immediately after purchase on Naver Smart Store. Starting next year, an integrated service linking the app and Naver Smart Store will also be provided.
