NHN Cloud said on the 26th that its integrated MLOps platform AI EasyMaker (hereafter AI EasyMaker) obtained K-PaaS compatibility certification.
NHN Cloud has been pushing to apply AI EasyMaker to the public sector and advance its features as part of the project to support the development of artificial intelligence (AI) functions within cloud platforms for use in the public sector, overseen by the Ministry of Science and ICT and led by the National Information Society Agency (NIA).
This compatibility certification officially recognizes that AI services can be used in public cloud environments through the linkage between the NKS (NHN Kubernetes Service) environment provided in the public zone and AI EasyMaker. This is meaningful in that it lays the groundwork to expand to public environments an AI and MLOps platform that has been validated in the private sector.
AI EasyMaker is an MLOps platform that can centrally manage the entire process of developing, training, and operating artificial intelligence models. Applying AI EasyMaker to the public zone allows public institutions to use functions such as: ▲ a development environment for AI training and advancement ▲ model training and comparative management ▲ model deployment and operation through a dedicated endpoint ▲ retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to improve the response accuracy of large language models (LLM).
In particular, NHN Cloud additionally developed RAG features for AI EasyMaker to increase usability in public cloud environments. It provides embedding models and LLMs in the NKS environment, a K-PaaS–based container platform, and supports configuring custom LLM models based on internal data stored in a user's object storage. This enables public institutions to build AI services combined with their own data more safely and efficiently.
NHN Cloud plans to conduct certification maintenance reviews through post-evaluation of cloud security certification (CSAP) for AI EasyMaker and to continuously strengthen security and reliability so that public institutions can use cloud services with confidence. It also plans to promote broader adoption of AI and MLOps in the public sector by securing demonstrations and references for public institutions.
An NHN Cloud official said, "Through this K-PaaS compatibility certification, we have laid the groundwork to expand an AI and MLOps platform validated in the private sector into public cloud environments," and added, "We will continue to contribute to advancing technology and expanding the public AI ecosystem so that public institutions can use AI more safely and efficiently."
