Samsung Electronics said on the 24th it will unveil a new Odyssey gaming monitor, the first gaming monitor to support 6K ultra-high resolution.
The new products will be revealed at Samsung Electronics' The First Look event on the 4th (local time), ahead of the opening of CES 2026 in Las Vegas in January.
Odyssey 3D G9 is the world's first model to apply glasses-free 3D with 6K resolution. It is a 32-inch model about 40% larger than its predecessor and supports up to a 165-hertz (Hz) high refresh rate, 1ms (GtG) response time, and a high-refresh dual mode (3K·330Hz). You can enjoy more than 60 games in 3D quality, and it includes 3D settings that adjust the optimal 3D depth for each game.
Odyssey G8 is a 32-inch model and, as a first for gaming monitors, offers 6K ultra-high resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It also supports a dual mode feature that switches to a high-refresh mode (3K·330Hz).
The 27-inch Odyssey G8 model offers 5K ultra-high resolution with a 180Hz refresh rate and supports a high-refresh mode (QHD·360Hz).
Odyssey OLED G8 is a 32-inch model that supports 4K resolution and up to a 240Hz refresh rate on a quantum-dot organic light-emitting diode (QD OLED) panel. With a peak brightness of 300 nits and glare-free technology, it is tailored for gameplay, and it comes with a DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR 20 (ultra-high bit rate) supporting up to 80Gbps bandwidth.
Odyssey G6 is a 27-inch model that supports QHD resolution and a 600Hz high refresh rate. In particular, when switching to an ultra-high refresh rate in dual mode, it becomes the world's first 1,040Hz gaming monitor (based on HD quality), enabling tailored play by game genre.
