NHN said on the 24th that it carried out year-end community sharing activities centered on employee participation.
NHN held a "Goodbye Market" earlier this month to sell items donated by employees and secondhand in-house assets, and delivered the revenue to the disaster relief group Hope Bridge. This year's event expanded participation by being jointly operated with Neowiz.
In addition, NHN's in-house volunteer group "Little Scout" supported energy-vulnerable households by carrying out volunteer work on the 20th to deliver coal briquettes and food directly using the Goodbye Market revenue.
The employee-participation resource circulation program "My Auction" also operated this year. It auctioned 295 IT assets that had passed their replacement cycle, raising about 58 million won in revenue. Of that, 25 million won was used to support kimchi for vulnerable groups in Seongnam, and 12 million won was donated to the Community Chest of Korea. The remaining amount will be used to support the Lunar New Year holiday next year.
NHN said it operates social contribution activities year-round based on employee participation, continuing them in a way that combines community support with resource recycling.
An NHN official said, "We are continuing sharing with the local community in a sustainable way, not as a one-time donation."
