ATON said on the 23rd that it delivered a donation for the "AI coding playground: digital creativity expansion project" to the Samdong Boys Town child welfare facility for Christmas and the year-end.
This donation follows the first-half creativity support fund and aims to expand digital education programs, and will be used to operate play-based coding kits and professional education programs for preschoolers and lower-grade elementary students. The donation fund was created by combining voluntary contributions from employees and a company donation.
ATON employees visited Samdong Boys Town in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the 22nd to deliver the donation and arranged Christmas catering for children and facility staff.
Ham Sung-jin, ATON Deputy Minister of management strategy, said, "We planned the project so that children can naturally build digital capabilities through play-centered digital learning," and noted, "As a tech security corporations, we will continue our support to provide practical help in strengthening children's future capabilities."
Founded in 1952, Samdong Boys Town currently houses about 50 children and operates various caregiving programs to support healthy growth and independence.
Since forming a sisterhood partnership with Samdong Boys Town in 2021, ATON has continued support including learning device and clothing assistance, facility environment improvements, and medical and psychological treatment expense support. This year, following the Children's Day creativity fund in May, it also supported a year-end coding education program, expanding long-term social contribution in the field of digital education.
