SK AX said on the 23rd that it has begun the "next-generation information system for mutual finance institutions" project to strengthen NongHyup's customer-tailored financial services.
The core of the project is to turn the business environment of 1,110 agricultural and livestock cooperatives nationwide into data by region and industry and use it for customer management and marketing. The goal is to apply artificial intelligence (AI) across the entire work system so any employee can use data regardless of technical gaps, thereby improving work efficiency.
SK AX plans to segment various customer groups, including agricultural and livestock cooperative members, associate members, and local residents, and build a more sophisticated customer management and marketing system through analysis based on Generative AI. Through this, it expects to provide financial services tailored to customer characteristics in a more systematic way.
Over the next two years, it will phase in a marketing platform that analyzes customers' interests and behavior patterns to conduct personalized customer management; a data platform that improves data quality and accuracy; and a BI (Business Intelligence) portal that allows any employee to explore, analyze, and use data.
The marketing platform will introduce a function that recommends necessary financial services based on customer behavior data and a single-view consultation environment that shows customer information on one screen. The data platform will apply term standardization and a metadata management framework to help agricultural and livestock cooperatives nationwide use data based on the same standards. A self-service BI function that enables analysis through natural-language questions will also be built.
SK AX plans to apply its AI development automation platform "DAVIS" across the project to automate repetitive tasks such as requirements analysis, design, and testing, securing both build quality and speed.
Kim Nam-sik, head of SK AX's financial business division, said, "We will build a data- and AI-based information system that reflects the structure and operating methods of agricultural and livestock cooperatives to raise the level of financial decision-making and customer service," adding, "We will ensure this project becomes a turning point for the overall financial services of agricultural and livestock cooperatives."
