Dreamus Company's music platform Flo said on the 23rd that it signed a service contract with Japan's leading music distributor the RecoChoku Group and will expand its J-pop music lineup.
Under the deal, starting in the first half of next year, Flo will receive Japanese music content through the global music distribution solution "FLAGGLE," operated by RecoChoku, and "Eggs Pass," an indie music distribution platform run by its subsidiary Eggs. Through this, Flo plans to gradually expand its catalog of Japanese music, including J-pop.
Flo currently has about 120 million tracks and, with this collaboration, plans to broaden its service to include music from major Japanese labels and indie artists to strengthen its global music competitiveness.
Kim Jae-jun, head of the CX division at Dreamus Company, said, "Interest in J-pop and Japanese indie music is steadily increasing in Korea," and added, "Through cooperation with the RecoChoku Group, we will expand content so Flo users can experience a broader range of global music."
Meanwhile, FLAGGLE is a global music distribution solution launched by the RecoChoku Group in Jul. this year that supports the overseas expansion of Japanese local labels and artists. Eggs Pass is a distribution platform focused on Japanese indie artists and holds a wide range of emerging J-pop content.
