SANDS Lab said on the 23rd that it signed an export contract for 1,000 units of its artificial intelligence (AI)-based NDR (network detection and response) solution "MNX" with local Japanese partner PIO Platform and began the first shipment.
SANDS Lab's MNX is equipped with an AI agent-based assistant function that analyzes traffic across the entire network with AI and detects and visualizes even unknown threats. In addition, depending on the threat situation, the AI agent can automatically propose response scenarios to support security managers' decision-making.
This contract is the first commercial export result in which actual volumes are shipped following the agreements and distribution contracts that SANDS Lab has pursued step by step this year to enter the Japanese market. Through this, SANDS Lab formalized that its Japan business has moved beyond the technology and partnership-building phase and entered a full-fledged phase of expanding overseas sales.
Since signing an agreement in Mar. with local Japanese corporations to supply the AI-based NDR solution to the Japanese market, SANDS Lab has been specifying its business structure through cooperation with local partners. It then completed the distribution system by signing a distribution contract, and with this supply contract, it has shifted to a phase in which MNX is actually installed and operated in Japanese SMB customer environments.
The 1,000 MNX units in this first supply batch will be deployed sequentially to SMB customer environments through the local partner's distribution network in Japan, corresponding to an initial supply phase for full-scale expansion. SANDS Lab plans to proceed step by step with additional second and third supplies depending on local operational performance and expanding demand, and said it will establish a structural business model that gradually increases export volumes with each supply phase.
