Netmarble said on the 23rd that it released a year-end special developer video for its action RPG in development, "MonGil: Star Dive."
"MonGil: Star Dive" is a sequel to the mobile collection RPG released in 2013, "Monster Taming." It is aimed for a multi-platform release on PC and mobile and is currently conducting global preregistration.
This video is the third developer communication content following the first commentary released in August and the second CBT commentary in Oct. In the video, Production Director (PD) Lee Dong-jo of Netmarble Monster and Netmarble Business Division Head Kang Dong-gi appeared in outfits matching the year-end mood and shared improvements based on user feedback and the development status.
First, it introduced major content that had not been revealed in previous tests. It announced plans to add "Bond Quests," which contain each character's narrative; "Rift," a core content focused on character growth; "Legendary Monsters" not yet discovered in the universe; and "Costumes," which further elevate each character's appeal.
It also launched a user survey targeting five characters that were beloved in the original "Monster Taming": ▲ Dorothy ▲ Luna ▲ Vivian ▲ Viole ▲ Tiny. The survey can be accessed through the link provided on the official social media, and the results will be announced separately at a later date. The development team plans to conduct various surveys in the future to reflect user opinions in the process of implementing original characters.
The development team signaled a global release of "MonGil: Star Dive" in the first half of next year. PD Lee Dong-jo said, "Meeting quickly is important, but our desire to meet you after further improvements so it becomes the game users want was stronger," and added, "We will work to return with a more polished experience."
