Kakao Entertainment said on the 22nd that works introduced through KakaoPage's new web novel campaign "Super Debut Project" have stayed in the top ranks of their genres for extended periods, delivering strong results.
Through the "Super Debut Project," Kakao Entertainment disclosed the cumulative performance of 42 web novels released over 21 months from Mar. 2024 to Nov. 2025. These works ranked No. 1 in genre views for an average of more than three weeks and stayed within the top 10 of their genres for an average of more than seven weeks, standing out even among new releases.
The "Super Debut Project" spotlights two carefully selected new web novels each month, building its lineup around return projects or highly anticipated works by authors with hit records. Kakao Entertainment said the project has established itself as KakaoPage's signature new web novel campaign.
A representative hit is the web novel "Even if I fall into a ghost story, I still have to go to work" by writer Baek Deok-su. The work topped its genre ranking as soon as serialization began and surpassed 100 million cumulative views in three months. It achieved "million page" status in the shortest time ever among fantasy, modern fantasy, and martial arts genre web novels, and as of Nov. maintained No. 1 in the combined rankings across all web novel and webtoon genres on KakaoPage.
Writer Kim Su-ji's new work "The forgotten field" also succeeded through the Super Debut Project. With just the pre-released first episode, it ranked No. 7 on the weekly romance fantasy genre chart, and then ranked No. 1 across all web novel genres for two consecutive weeks. Among this year's new KakaoPage web novels, it ranked No. 1 in both new viewers and purchasers.
Intellectual property (IP) expansion cases are also continuing. Writer Heuk A-in's "The reincarnate's streaming" has been produced as a webtoon and is set for release in Jan. next year, and in Sept. 2024 it also launched as the game "Blue Eyes: Guild Master," expanding into webtoons and games.
A Kakao Entertainment official said, "The Super Debut Project is a campaign that enables works to have competitiveness from the starting line, naturally leading to results," adding, "We will continue to introduce new works with quality and potential."
