Neowiz said on the 22nd that it will hold large-scale in-game events and an offline tournament to mark the first anniversary of the mobile poker game "Pimang Showdown Hold'em."
The first-anniversary event will run for about a month from today through Jan. 15 next year. Based on the first login date, users who log in for seven consecutive days can receive up to 10 million gold, three 7 million gold tickets, and a first-anniversary limited avatar.
Survey and quiz events will also be held. Prizes consisting of a Wonsoju brass cup, a first-anniversary card deck, and gold coupons will be awarded to five people selected for excellent answers, and 50 people selected by drawing will receive gold and a commemorative card deck. All participants will receive in-game currency.
New content has also been added. Neowiz on the 16th updated the "Bounty Hunter" tournament mode, which grants immediate rewards when an opponent is eliminated. The content is divided into four tiers depending on the participation expense, and related events will also run through Jan. 5 next year.
Online qualifiers linked to the offline tournament will also be held. The online satellite, running from today through Jan. 29 next year, is a qualifier where players can obtain entry tickets to the offline main event "PFGT X Pimang Showdown Hold'em 1st Anniversary Tournament." It will be held at set times every day, with a total of 660 entry tickets offered.
Users who obtain entry tickets through the online qualifiers can participate in the offline main event to be held at Swiss Grand Hotel in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, from Jan. 31 to Feb. 1 next year. The total prize pool is 2 billion won, and the winner will receive a championship ring along with the prize money.
Neowiz plans to exchange unused entry tickets for gold in bulk during the offline tournament period and distribute them to users for their convenience.
