NHN said on the 22nd that its mobile game Hangame Seotda & Matgo will hold a winter season event running from Christmas through the New Year.
The event consists of limited Christmas content to start, a year-end "King of Kings Championship," and a "Union Offense and Defense Event" that runs through late January. Users can take part in various rewards through gameplay during the winter season.
First, the limited Christmas character "Santa Ppingari" will be on sale until Jan. 11. In the "Heart-pounding Christmas Event," which runs until the early hours of Jan. 1, "Santa's daily gift" and "Santa's special shop" will be available.
"Santa's daily gift" is a selectable reward event where, upon completing daily missions, players can either immediately receive 10 million Jjeon in game money or receive from at least 10 million Jjeon to as much as 1 billion Jjeon the next day. In "Santa's special shop," players can exchange Santa-themed characters and Pae-jjogi items.
A competitive event will also be held at the end of the year. From Dec. 26 to 28, the "2025 National King of Kings Championship" will take place, and all club members who accumulate the most occupation points in the final occupation match will receive rewards of up to 20 billion Jjeon according to their ranking. Clubs wishing to participate must apply for the occupation match on Dec. 25.
The event continues in January. For four weeks from Dec. 29 to Jan. 21, 2026, the "Union offense and defense recapture challenge event" will be held. All union members who win the offense and defense match held during the period will receive a reward of 10 billion Jjeon. Among these, the offense and defense match on Dec. 30 will feature a cheering event, and prizes such as the Ppingari package, a six-month Bugs pass, and up to 1 billion Jjeon will be awarded by lottery among participants.
Choi Young-du, head of NHN's Mobile Web Board Business Group, said, "To mark the end of the year and the New Year, we organized events so users can experience various rewards through gameplay," adding, "We hope you have a great time with Hangame Seotda & Matgo throughout the winter season."
