Kakao said on the 22nd that it will run a participatory campaign, "Merry Talk Mas (MERRY TALK MAS)," for the year-end so users can exchange warm messages. The campaign aims to offer distinctive communication online and offline by using Kakao's AI service, "ChatGPT for Kakao."
"ChatGPT for Kakao" is a service launched in Oct. through collaboration between Kakao and OpenAI that lets KakaoTalk users easily experience AI. To join the campaign, click the campaign banner in KakaoTalk and write a message to send to friends or family according to the auto-filled prompt message.
In particular, this campaign applies ASCII art design to offer a fresh twist. Reflecting a text-based, emotive communication style that has recently gained popularity among the MZ generation, it is expected to add enjoyment to conversations.
Offline participation is available at Namsan Seoul Tower in Seoul, and visitors can join the campaign via a QR code on-site. Through the 25th, prizes will be offered by drawing after messages are sent.
In addition, Kakao will decorate Seoul Tower as a large Christmas tree through Jan. 18 to enhance the year-end atmosphere and allow visitors to freely take proof shots. Kakao expects users to enjoy a distinctive communication experience through this campaign.
