Jobis&Villains Corp. said on the 22nd it announced the results of its "AI professional field platform perception survey," conducted among users of Samjeomsam, which it operates.
The survey found that 7 out of 10 respondents had used generative artificial intelligence (AI) services such as ChatGPT and Gemini, and 61% of them said they had experience using AI-based professional platforms such as Samjeomsam, LawTalk, and DoctorNow.
The survey, conducted from Dec. 1 to 7 to gauge perceptions of vertical AI combined with key professional fields such as tax, accounting, law, and medicine, drew participation from 681 Samjeomsam customers.
A total of 344 respondents, or half, said they had used professionals such as certified public accountants, tax accountants, and lawyers. Of these, 63.4% said they were satisfied with professional services, but regardless of satisfaction level, "high expense" was cited as the biggest burden. Respondents who were not satisfied with using professionals expressed dissatisfaction in the order of high expense burden, lack of transparency and trust, and professional competence.
To the question, "Do you think AI can replace professional fields within the next five years?" 52.7% of respondents said yes. While they expected an expanded role for AI in fields where accuracy and processing speed are critical, such as tax and accounting, the prevailing view was that in areas requiring emotional judgment, such as medicine or psychological counseling, AI would remain at the level of assisting professionals.
When rating AI tax platforms on a 5-point scale compared with experiences using professionals, cost reduction scored the highest at an average of 4.10, transparency and objectivity scored 4.04, and convenience and speed scored 3.75. The most anticipated feature of AI tax platforms was fast processing speed at 36.1%, followed by low expense and calculation accuracy.
Chae I-bae, head of the Samjeomsam Research Lab, said, "AI professional platforms are expanding consumer choices in terms of cost and objectivity," and added, "Institutional discussions are needed in parallel to ensure that AI technologies combined with professional fields can develop stably."
