Disney animation "Zootopia 2" became the first release this year to top 6 million moviegoers.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated box office computer network on the 21st, "Zootopia 2" drew about 258,000 viewers the previous day, bringing its cumulative admissions to 6,086,000. "Zootopia 2" pushed aside "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc," which had been this year's No. 1 at the domestic box office, on the 18th and took the top spot 23 days after its release.
By all-time animation cumulative admissions, "Zootopia 2" ranks fifth.
So far, the box-office rankings for animations released in Korea are "Frozen 2" (13.76 million) released in 2019, "Frozen" (10.32 million) released in 2014, "Inside Out 2" (8.79 million) in 2024, and "Elemental" (7.24 million) released in 2013. With "Zootopia 2" settling in fifth place, the top five are all Disney and Pixar animations.
The sixth- and seventh-highest-grossing animations of all time are "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc" (5.68 million), released this year, and "Suzume" (5.58 million), released in 2023, respectively.

"Zootopia 2" follows rabbit officer Judy and fox-turned-police officer Nick as they unravel a mystery tied to reptiles that appear in the city of Zootopia for the first time in 100 years. It is a sequel unveiled nine years after "Zootopia" (2016); the original drew 4.71 million moviegoers.
