NC AI said on the 18th that at WITS 2025, an international academic workshop in the information systems (IS) field, it presented research results from its independent artificial intelligence (AI) foundation model project and proposed an industry-specific AI transformation strategy based on DomainOps.
The paper NC AI released is titled "DomainOps: A Hybrid AI Governance Framework for Industry-Specific AI Transformation," an ongoing study proposing a DomainOps-based AI governance framework for industry-specific AI transformation. The paper was accepted after academic review, recognizing the need for and validity of the research.
This study was carried out as part of the independent AI foundation model project promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT. The project aims to break away from dependence on overseas technology and secure sovereign AI competitiveness at the national level, and NC AI is playing a key role by developing industry-specialized Multimodal AI models.
Alongside foundation model development, NC AI is pursuing a DomainOps platform strategy aimed at building an industry-specialized AI hub. The DomainOps platform serves to connect AI models with industrial sites, helping corporations in each industry more easily fine-tune foundation models to fit their own environments and work characteristics.
The project is based on a grand consortium cooperation structure centered on NC AI. NC AI provides AI technology and models, while corporations participating in the consortium share on-site know-how and data. Participating corporations can use the DomainOps platform to efficiently build and operate AI models optimized for their own environments.
NC AI said it plans to build a general-purpose AX (AI transformation) platform for industry at an early stage to accelerate user-centered technology development and diffusion. Through a virtuous cycle that reflects domain-specific requirements, on-site feedback, and real-time data, the company plans to gradually advance the platform's completeness, and it intends to promote the spread of AX across all industries through subsequent collaboration with SI corporations, starting with manufacturing, distribution, and cultural content.
