Hancom Group said on the 17th that it carried out its regular 2026 executive appointments and promoted Song Sang-yeop, head of Hancomwith, to president, among a total of 12 executive promotions.
The appointments focused on strengthening the execution system for growth and a leap forward, centered on talent who have proven results in the group's future core businesses such as artificial intelligence (AI), data, and digital finance. Hancom Group said it plans to pursue both securing future growth engines and enhancing business competitiveness based on a rigorous performance-based principle.
Song Sang-yeop, head of Hancomwith, who was promoted to president, led high growth in the security business and Hancom Gold Exchange, achieving full-year sales from the previous year by the third quarter this year. Along with profitability improvement, he put the gold real-world asset (RWA) business into full swing and secured next-generation security technologies such as post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and AI deepfake detection, which was highly rated as laying the foundation for the company's mid- to long-term growth.
At Hancom Innostream, a corporations specializing in reporting and e-form solutions, CEO Choi Seong was promoted to senior executive managing director. Based on its technological competitiveness in the reporting tool field, Hancom Innostream is expanding its business into business intelligence (BI) and data visualization, and through this round of appointments it will push to strengthen group-level data business capabilities and advance the data value chain.
In addition, promotions went to talent with sales and execution capabilities, including Hong Jin-a, executive director at HANCOM LIFECARE; Han Chang-jin, executive director at Hancom Innostream; Choi Jae-nam, director at HANCOM; and Kim Dong-hwan, director at Hancomwith. Leaders who have driven AI business and IT infrastructure innovation on the ground and proven results were also tapped as new executives.
A Hancom Group official said, "Even amid an uncertain management environment, we made appointments centered on leaders whose crisis management and business execution capabilities have been verified," and added, "Based on proven leadership, we will maximize synergies among core businesses, including artificial intelligence (AI), and accelerate our push into target markets."
