AhnLab Cloudmate said on the 11th that it completed the "2025 private cloud-based artificial intelligence (AI) and data lake utilization support project" promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency (NIA).

The project aimed to build a "customized policy information education and promotion service for the public" that can improve public access to and use of policy information by leveraging hyper-scale AI technology and data lake-based infrastructure. AhnLab Cloudmate formed a consortium with the Korea Institute of Public Finance and Management, and the Korea Institute of Criminology and Justice to carry out the project for about six months from May 20 to Nov. 28, 2025.

As the lead organization, AhnLab Cloudmate oversaw the establishment of the AI data lake, standardization and quality management of research materials, AI-based content creation, and innovative service development, and led visualization-based automatic content generation and the security and safety of Generative AI.

Through this project, the AhnLab Cloudmate consortium advanced the previously expert-centered policy information service "NKIS National Policy Research Portal" with an AI-based approach and expanded it into a public-facing policy information service that anyone can use easily and conveniently. This laid the groundwork to transparently convey the background, contributions, and effects of government policies; advance the system for using evidence in policy research; identify contributions to policy; and help promote government policies and build public trust.

In addition, for two types of data (a total of 9,000 items) that combine research reports and policy and legal information held by the Korea Institute of Public Finance and Management with AI, AhnLab Cloudmate obtained "Class A" data quality certification from WiseStone, a certification body designated by the Ministry of Science and ICT, thereby earning official recognition for the reliability and stability of government data. It also standardized and refined a total of 9,000 policy research datasets and released them on the Digital Platform Government's integrated platform, further strengthening the system for using evidence in policy research and contributing to the spread of the public data utilization ecosystem.

Choi Gwang-ho, COO of AhnLab Cloudmate, said, "This project was a meaningful task that could expand public access to policy information and contribute to the social dissemination of research outcomes and improved policy trust," adding, "We will continue to work to support innovation in AI utilization across both the public and private sectors."
