The Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) said on the 9th it will hold the semiconductor expo "Semicon Korea 2026," where global semiconductor corporations gather, from Feb. 11 to 13 next year.

The event will be held on the largest scale ever, expanding exhibition space beyond the usual venue at Coex in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to the nearby Westin Seoul Parnas and Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas.

More than 550 corporations, including Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, will showcase advanced semiconductor manufacturing technologies and solutions across some 2,400 booths, and more than 70,000 semiconductor industry workers are expected to visit.

SEMI said it expanded the event on a large scale to actively reflect the business demand of Korea's steadily growing semiconductor industry and to further strengthen the cooperative ecosystem among global corporations.

In addition to the exhibition, about 30 conferences will be held to review advanced technology road maps and global market outlooks, with participation from world-leading figures and technology experts.

An AI Summit jointly planned by SEMI and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) will also debut. At this event, KAIST faculty, Samsung Electronics, SK hynix, and major global equipment companies will discuss the road map for innovation in the AI industry and the technology strategies to realize it.
