Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association (KOSA) said on the 9th that it officially launched the "U.S. market entry council" on the 8th to support domestic artificial intelligence (AI) and software (SW) corporations expanding into the U.S. market.
The council was promoted as part of the "large and small corporations' joint overseas expansion council project" led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Foundation of Large and Small Business, Agriculture and Fisheries Cooperation. The goal is to strengthen domestic AI and SW corporations' understanding of the U.S. market and their readiness to enter it, and to build a joint market-entry network among corporations. Twenty-six corporations pursuing entry into the U.S. market, including Forty Two Maru, Inswave, TOBESOFT, and Trdlinx, are participating in the council.
KOSA also held an AI and SW corporations' U.S. market entry strategy seminar (Doing Business in USA) on the same day. At the seminar, Shin Eun-hye, a principal at 500 Global, discussed the core capabilities of startups preparing to enter the U.S., Kim Yun-seon, a director at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, outlined the advantages of entering New York and support programs, and Lee Jeong-su, CEO of Flitto, introduced real cases of domestic corporations entering the U.S. market.
KOSA said, "Through the U.S. market entry council, we plan to continuously provide information on U.S. market trends and entry strategies and seek joint entry opportunities through cooperation among participating corporations," adding, "We will establish cooperation channels with local U.S. investment institutions and economic development agencies to systematically support member companies' entry into the U.S. market."
